Cruise Day #1

We woke up and got dressed and the girls got there tickets for the BIG BOAT. The day they had been waiting for had finally arrived.

The cruise transport aka. Seale excursion, arrived to pick us up at around 10:30 and the girls exchanged their tickets for cute BIG boat bags that "Pauwa" made them. It was stuffed with all kinds of goodies.

Then we hit the road for Galveston :) Check in went really smoothly evenly though we had to wait in a few lines. The girls were so tired from the trip and no nap that they were asking for "night night" before we were even done with dinner. So, there are no pics of the evening . But here are the rest of the pics from the afternoon.

I am thankful that the girls and Trey hit the rack early. It got very rough on Sunday night, thanks to Ida. I was up all night nauseous, afraid the girls were gonna fall out of their bunks and amazed that Trey was sleeping like a baby. There were 9 feet swells. I finally feel asleep at about 3:30 am LONG night!!

On Dry Land

We're back! We arrived home Sunday around noon and then I rushed to Huntsville to pick up Samuel. Wow, how much he changed in just a week. He is such a big boy, saying new words and doing new tricks :)

Trey, the girls, and I had a great time spending quality time together, which seems hard to come by in the "real" world. We also had lots of fun with our friends! I promise pics and more posts about the cruise are on the way. I am working on downloading everything. Just wanted to drop a quick line and let you know we are back safely, even though Ida changed a few things, and had a FUN, FUN, FUN time.

The growing secret

Monday I was trying on dresses for the cruise. Abigail stopped and looked at me and said," Is there a baby in there, because your tummy is big" Don't you LOVE it!! I just looked at her for a minute not sure what to say. Because, the answer is YES :) but Trey wasnt home to share in the news delivery and we have been waiting to tell the girls until I was in my second trimester.

In June I had what I call an unexpected miscarriage, not that any are ever expected. By unexpected I mean that after having 3 healthy children, 2 with which were not high risk, I kinda thought I was out of the woods. The fear that followed from the 2 miscarriages before Abigail had passed. So we told the girls very early, with the last miscarriage, about their brother or sister to be. They were delighted about having a baby and even more devastated when we had to share the sad news of the loss.

So, all that so say that we decided, to protect our little girls this time. We told no one for a long time in an effort to really keep it a secret. Abigail picks up on everything!! But you can only hide a growing belly for so long. Especially the growing belly of a young Mama on pregnancy #7.

I am 14 weeks now and things are looking good. Very different pregnancy for me this time. We would love your prayers for our little one and be expecting more news and updates on Krum baby #7 in the coming months.

Count Down

6 more Days til Cruise time. My good friend Paula or "Pauwa" as the girls call her, made them as count down chain and gave it to them after church yesterday. They will be pulling a link off of the chain every morning. Then on Sunday morning, the day of our departure, they will pull off a ticket for the BIG BOAT! Super Fun and exciting :) Here are some pictures of the girls with their chains this morning :)

Big Girl

No more diapers for Hannah, She is officially potty trained!! Yeah, she poo poos and tee tees in the potty all the time. I still put a pull up on her at nap but she just with in the past few days has even been waking dry from nap. So, we will be taking her to pick out some of her own panties very soon, she and sister have been sharing the same stash. Very excited but it is a little weird only having one diaper wearer in the house :) 2 down ? many more to go.

F week

We just finished our "F" week. We had a Fun fun with school this week! Learned capital and lower case F, read Fall book and Frog books. I thought that Fish would be our theme but I found way more Frog books on my bookcase, so Mama made some changes. Our favorite book was, A Frog in the Bog, by Karma Wilson. * you can take a peek inside at http://www.amazon.com/

Besides being a really cute story it is also a counting book. So I used it for out Math activity yesterday and today. Here are some pictures of our activity really fun and the girls loved feeding their frog today after lunch. I am sure the frogs will be hungry for days :)

First step is to create frog puppet with opening in the mouth.

Then, I went online and clip art and found pics of all the bugs that Frog eats, roughly cute them out, and glued them to index cards so they would be more sturdy. I let them dry over night and then cut them out again. The bug making step was a little time consuming but worth it for the excitement my kids had.

Taking a break from counting to watch Sister feed her Frog. I was glad to see that Hannah did not change her method when she saw the way that Abigail was doing hers. Yeah for independent thinkers! :)

Thankful Thursday "F"

With out sick time and all that has been going on around here I have gotten behind on my Thankful Thursday activity :( I am going to do better. We were even challenged at small group last to make a list of of the things that we are thankful for. So here it goes again

This weeks letter is "F"

I am thankful for...

1. Family. I love my Family so much and truly value Family and the love we share.

2. Friends that are like family.

3. Fellowship that I have with my Brothers and Sisters through Jesus Christ.

4. Food, yeah I like, I should be honest and say love, to eat :)
