Rebekah's 1st birthday

Monday May the 9th she had heart surgery and Saturday May 14th she turned one year old.  WHAT A WEEK!!
Recovery from the surgery went well at home, we could once again get out and about.  So we planned a FULL weekend for her birthday.  Saturday after her morning nap we took our kids to the park to celebrate the birthday girl with some yummy cupcakes and swing time.  Then after the park we attended a high school graduation party for another sweet Rebekah that we know.  Sunday was our first day back at Church since her diagnosis and then another friends birthday party in the afternoon.  We had a lot to celebrate and we partied HARD all weekend :)

Summer is here

On Cinco De Mayo I took the kids on an imprompto trip to Stewart Beach for the day.  We had been staying home so that Rebekah would not get sick before her surgery.  This seemed like the perfect place to have some fun together before the procedure.  It was a weekday so it wasnt crowded and it was outdoors.  The Big kids had been missing out on a lot of activities so that we could keep R from getting sick, so I felt they deserved a fun day in the sun.  We had a great time with our friend Paula.

Celebration

My friend Karen did this
 her first Triathlon.

So, we did this,
we surprised her with a girls night out to celebrate.  We made her cupcakes and a button to wear.  The night consisted of caffeine(we are getting old), laughing, shopping, more laughing and great food.

Renaissance Festival

October 9th we headed to Plantersville Texas to the Renaissance Festival with our neighbors.  We were very excited because it was supposed to be Octoberfest  weekend.  It did not seem to be very German but we still had a great time.  It was a fun and different thing to do with the kids for our "Saturday the Fun Day." Here are some pics from our day.

4th of July Weekend

My Apples of Gold Bible study planned a picnic for Saturday the 3rd. So despite the bad weather forecast we loaded up the clan and headed to Huntsville. The rain stayed away just long enough for the kids to have a great time playing and for us all to get sweaty worn out. Here are some pics from the pic.

After the picnic we headed home for showers and some quick rest time before we headed back to Huntsville for dinner at "Cowboy Mark's" house. The rain kept us from visiting the cows this time but we had a delicious BBQ dinner, the girls played with Mark and Leslie's daughter and Samuel helped entertain the crowd between rounds. Yes, it was a fight night. Rebekah is such an easy sweet baby. she was just happy being passed around and then finally passed out on the quest bed. So, I was actually able to stay awhile and enjoy the festivities. It was a nice treat considering I thought that I would be taking the kids home shortly after "normal" bedtime.

Sunday after our normal nap routine Trey grilled a delicious dinner and then we headed into New Waverly for the firework show. Rebekah was a little worn out from our Saturday night party so I held her in the car while she tried to sleep. The show was impressive considering, well considering that this is just New Waverly, TX. We had a FUN filled exhausting weekend.

My great Dad turned 60 on March 26th. We planned a surprise celebration for the weekend at my brother's river house. Dad knew we were coming and that we were planning on hanging out with Thomas and Jacque, but didn't know that some of our close family friends were arriving on Saturday morning.

We(the Krum's) headed that way on Wednesday day night after dinner. Thursday Trey had a meeting for work in Lockhart and then we all chipped in to get the house ready. Thomas and a buddy mowed, Trey and the kids weeded the front flower beds and I cleaned inside to get ready for our guests. Thursday night mom arrived. Friday morning Mom and I headed to the grocery, store before Dad got into town. Friday night MeMe, PawPaw, Trey I and the kids had a nice dinner at the house sang Happy Birthday to Dad complete with his favorite Apple pie. Saturday morning we did some stuff around the house and tried to stall until our friends arrived. Dad sure was surprised, he had no idea. After lunch we my parents, the friends and I headed down the road to Three Dudes Winery. It was great, I will def. be going back :) Saturday night Thomas grilled and we relaxed and visited. We had a great time celebrating and headed back home on Sunday afternoon.

Happy Birthday Dad, Hope you had a GREAT time :) LOVE you!! xoxo
